Delivery guide
Prepared for the road ahead.
A practical checklist, clear next steps and answers to the questions that come up before booking.
Before you book
A little detail. A smoother delivery.
You don’t need to know which vehicle to choose. Tell us what is moving and we’ll check a suitable option.
Your quote checklist
- The route
Collection and delivery postcodes, plus any extra stops.
- The consignment
Number of items, dimensions and total weight. Include packaging or pallet size.
- The timing
When it is ready and when it must arrive. Include site opening times.
- Access and handling
Loading help, forklift availability, stairs, parking restrictions or a tail lift requirement.
Your questions, answered
Know what to expect.
Can you arrange a same-day collection?
Tell us the collection and delivery locations, when the goods are ready and the deadline. We check carrier availability and cost before confirming what we can arrange. Availability and timing depend on the route and consignment.
What does dedicated transport mean?
A vehicle is arranged for your consignment and agreed route. Tell us about extra stops, waiting time or special handling so these can be included in the quotation.
Do you operate your own vehicles?
SwiftCentral coordinates deliveries through transport partners. You have a direct contact with us for the quotation, arrangements and delivery updates.
What information do I need for a quote?
Start with both postcodes, the goods, quantity, approximate weight and dimensions, collection time and delivery deadline. Mention stairs, restricted access, a forklift or any need for a tail lift. If you are unsure, tell us what you know.
Can you help when our usual courier is busy?
Yes. Send the job details and we can check options for overflow or backup transport. Each request is subject to carrier availability and an agreed quote.
Is submitting the form a confirmed booking?
No. The form sends an enquiry. We contact you to confirm the details and provide a quote after checking availability. Transport is booked only once the arrangements are agreed and confirmed.
How is the price worked out?
The route, required vehicle, timing, access, waiting time and handling needs affect the quote. Ask us to clarify what is included and the applicable VAT treatment before you proceed.
Can you carry fragile or specialist goods?
Describe any fragile, high-value, hazardous, temperature-sensitive or waste items before booking. We need to check suitability, packaging, carrier terms and any relevant cover; specialist goods are not automatically accepted.
